READING & USE OF ENGLISH PART 2

Description

There is a short text with 8 gaps.

Think of 1 word that fits in each gap.

Tips

The words are normally grammatical words, not vocabulary words. They may test your knowledge of phrasal verbs, prepositions or common phrases.

Read the whole sentence before choosing your answer.

Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Ut elit tellus, luctus nec ullamcorper mattis, pulvinar dapibus leo.

READING & USE OF ENGLISH PART 3

Description

There is a short text with 8 gaps. Each gap corresponds to ONE word.

The base of the missing word is given, modify the base into the correct form so that the text makes sense.

Tips

Read the whole sentence before choosing your answer.

Some students forget about the negative forms of a word, for example the base “skill” has the negative adjective “unskilled”.

Another common mistake is the difference between -ed and -ing adjectives. Remember that -ed adjectives are emotions whereas -ing adjectives are descriptions of things.

READING & USE OF ENGLISH PART 4

Description (Doble puntuación)

There are 6 questions, each is worth 2 marks.

Use 2 to 5 words, including the key word given in capital letters, so that the second sentence has the same meaning as the first sentence.

Tips

As far as possible, be sure to use the same words that are used in the first sentence. For example, if the verb “go” is used in the first sentence, you will probably have to include the word “go” in the second sentence but possibly in a different form.

Be aware of words that turn into their antonyms. For example, sometimes the word “forget” changes to “remember” and vice versa. Or, if “put in” appears in the first sentence, “take out” may appear in the second sentence.
